A reminder list of the things you may want at the hospital when you go in to Labor and Delivery

What to Pack in your Hospital Bag

  • Your hospital registration/admission forms and insurance cards
  • Warm, soft socks and slippers for walking around the hospital or to and from the bathroom.
    • A comfortable robe that is open in the front
    • If you have long hair, a scrunchie or hair tie is helpful to keep the hair out of your face during labor
    • Baby Blanket
    • Baby hat
    • Camera/Camcorder
    • Your pillow to help you get a good sleep at night
    • A nursing bra and shawl
    • Lists of phone numbers or emails of family/friends you want to call or send photos to.
    • Cord Blood Collection kit [if you are saving the cord blood stem cells from your baby]
    • Baby and Mommy ‘going home outfits.’
    • Your toiletry bag

o   [Hospitals will usually provide ‘sock-booties’ but you will be more comfortable in your ownJ]

o   [and remember there will be lots of pictures, so depending on your level of vanity, you may want some hair spray and make up since you can’t go back and get those ‘right after birth’ photos again.
