Eighteen Weeks Pregnant

Week 18 seems like more of the same, as the second trimester seems to be a perfect time for settling into pregnancy.
Even though it seems like more of the same, this trimester is all about growth and making room. With that in mind, be prepared for a host of things:
- Increased trips to the bathroom as your uterus pushes against your bladder
- Increased appetite (mind your eating habits)
- Increased inches around your bust and waistlines
- Increased insomnia
- Increased bouts of indigestion (making room for baby makes less room for digestion)
It's important to take these changes in stride and keep an open dialogue with your doctor about any concerns you have.
Right now, you may notice that it is increasingly more difficult to find a comfortable position to sleep in. Sleeping with pillows to prop up your knees and belly will help you to feel the extra support you need.
