Your baby is now about the size of a butternut squash. He weights about 4.7 pounds and about 18 inches long. Her skin is super soft at this point and her lungs and nervous system continue to mature.

You may notice that your baby is moving differently. This maybe because the amniotic fluid is decreased which leaves more room for baby to grow in the coming weeks. The amniotic fluid gets reabsorbed by your body. Your may also notice that your belly button is "out there" and very sensitive. Sometimes it even pokes through your clothing. To help with this you can place a small tape or band-aid to cover it. As your breasts and belly grow you may get some itchiness and stretch marks. Even though you can't fully make them go away, you can apply lotion to soothe the itchiness. Be sure to wear a light weight bra or even a nursing bra at this point. It helps to get fitted for the right size to be more comfortable. You are one week closer to meeting your little one!
